Windchill PDMLink (PDMLink)
Windchill PDMLink is the core module of PTC Windchill. It manages CAD and product data, parts and engineering BOMs, documents, lifecycle states, and the engineering change process.
If a company says “we have Windchill”, PDMLink is almost always what they mean. It’s where designers check in Creo (or other CAD) data, where parts and engineering BOMs live, and where problem reports, change requests and change notices run.
Most of the value we find in an existing PDMLink setup comes from the part side: classified, reusable parts and clean BOMs, instead of CAD files with metadata attached.
