Windchill MPMLink (MPMLink)

Windchill MPMLink is the manufacturing process management module of PTC Windchill. Manufacturing engineers use it to turn the engineering BOM into a manufacturing BOM and build process plans, operations and work instructions linked to the design.
MPMLink keeps manufacturing’s view of the product connected to engineering’s. When a part changes in the eBOM, MPMLink shows which mBOM lines, operations and work instructions are affected, so the change doesn’t get lost on its way to the shop floor.
The software is the easy part. The decisions are harder: who owns the mBOM, which plants get their own structure, what goes to ERP and MES. We settle those before building anything.
