Manufacturing bill of materials (mBOM)
Also called MBOM
A manufacturing bill of materials (mBOM) is the product structure as the plant builds it: parts grouped by assembly step, with raw materials, consumables and plant-specific choices that engineering doesn't design.
The mBOM is derived from the eBOM and stays linked to it. That link is the point: when engineering releases a change, manufacturing can see exactly what it touches.
Not every part needs its own manufacturing view. We only create one where something actually differs between how a part is designed and how it’s built; purchased parts usually don’t need one.
