Windchill+
Also called Windchill SaaS, Windchill Plus
Windchill+ is PTC's software-as-a-service version of Windchill. PTC hosts, maintains and upgrades it, so the customer stops running servers and upgrade projects, and works with configuration rather than custom code.
Moving to Windchill+ takes the upgrade treadmill off your IT team. The tradeoff is control: heavy customizations from an on-premise system don’t come across as they are, and some have to be retired or redesigned.
The migration is a good moment to fix old habits (smart part numbers, a change process nobody follows) instead of moving them into the new system.
