PLM–ERP integration

Also called PLM to ERP

PLM–ERP integration connects the product definition in PLM (parts, BOMs, changes) with ERP's planning, purchasing and costing, so released engineering data reaches ERP automatically and correctly, without re-entry.

The first decisions aren’t technical: which system owns each object (part master, BOM, routing, approved manufacturers), when data moves (on release, on change), and who fixes errors when a transfer fails.

Windchill connects to SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Infor and others, with PTC connectors, middleware or custom services. The connector is the smaller part of the work.
