AS9100
AS9100 is the quality management standard for aerospace and defense organizations. It builds on ISO 9001 and adds requirements such as configuration management, product safety and control of counterfeit parts.
PLM supports AS9100 by keeping configuration, change history and approvals traceable in one place, which turns an audit from a document hunt into a report.
The standard asks you to show control. A well-run PLM system is the easiest way to show it, though it won’t fix a process nobody follows.
