Erik Hetényi

Erik Hetényi is a Solution Architect at Element Consulting, where he leads PTC Windchill and ThingWorx architecture for enterprise PLM programs. With 15+ years across global manufacturers, he specializes in the parts of a PLM program that decide whether it succeeds: system architecture, upgrades and migrations, cloud infrastructure, and the disciplined delivery practices that keep complex environments stable at scale.

Before Element, Erik spent more than a decade architecting and operating global Windchill and ThingWorx platforms for large industrial manufacturers — including AGCO and Schaeffler — supporting 5,000+ users across 13 sites, designing AWS- and Azure-based landscapes, and building the ThingWorx applications and CI/CD automation that made those systems reliable enterprise-wide. That operator's background shapes how he consults: he's run the systems he now helps clients modernize.

A PTC-certified Windchill Implementation Practitioner, Erik is known for making high-stakes work boring in the best way — planning production upgrades and cloud migrations so thoroughly that cutover night becomes a non-event. He pairs deep technical architecture with a focus on measurable business outcomes, and holds a B.S. in Cloud Computing and an MBA in IT Management (in progress).
