Ben Perry
PLM Technical Architect
Ben Perry is a PLM technical architect at Element Consulting, where he handles Windchill system configuration, integrations, and customization for manufacturers. He came to consulting the hard way — as the customer. For most of a decade at Enerpac Tool Group, a global hydraulic-tools manufacturer, Ben administered the Windchill PLM system and ran the workflow-driven engineering change management processes that keep engineering data clean and the shop floor building the right revision. A mechanical engineer by training (University of Wisconsin–Madison), he moved from the test lab into sustaining engineering and then into systems administration, learning PLM from the inside out. He later spent four-plus years as a solution architect and implementation consultant at EAC Product Development Solutions before joining Element. That practitioner’s history is his edge: Ben has lived the change-management headaches, BOM struggles, and integration gaps he now designs around — so his Windchill solutions are built for the people who have to use them, not just the spec.
